My Future Plans
So, I am a very ambitious person, and that means I have a LOT of big dreams.
Obviously I want to finish high school. After that, I think I want a Disney Internship... Then it's off to college, where, I do not know. I'm also trying to figure out whether to major in Performing Arts or Animal Sciences. I was thinking a double major, but idk how that would work. I want to be a famous actress/dancer/singer/songwriter... and I want horses and dogs... so irdk...

In Loving Memory....
A friend and fellow dancer passed away last night at around 6:50. Her name was Kyla. Last year she was diagnosed with an ovarian cancer tumor, and just before Christmas the doctors declared her cancer free and sent her home... Well, in late January she was feeling really sick and went to the doctor. She had a new tumor. It seemed pretty treatable and so this past February she went in for surgery. They found a new tumor growing while they were taking out the old one. They couldn't treat this one. Kyla was diagnosed as terminal.
It's really hard because I used to take class with her and her sister, and I have been teaching her little brother in karate for the past year. Kyla was always bright, and cheerful, even in the face of death. We always talked about books, music, dance, movies, whatever we could, while she sat and did craft projects. She was a one-of-a-kind girl, and she will be greatly missed. Please keep her loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Sword!
Tomorrow I get a Samurai sword! I'm really excited because I worked my butt off to get it, and tomorrow I get to stand up in front of a whole bunch of people and take my sword, and talk about how I got it.
You earn your sword after you complete the six tasks. The six tasks are as follows:
1. Respect= 50 acts of courtesy, kindness, and respect
2. Teamwork= 50 acts of home help (aka chores)
3. Perseverance= 1,000 repetitions of a kicking combination
4. Self-Discipline= Not eating processed foods for one week. (IMPOSSIBLE)
5. Mentoring= Teaching 10 classes
6. Knowledge= Writing 10 letters and 2 book reports
For each task you earn a patch, and when you get all six you are eligable to get your sword... I can't wait!

OOOOO IT HURTS!
Ok, so today I had a board break at karate, and it seemed like it was going to be pretty easy... I'd practiced a few times (but not as much as I would have like), and I knew all of my techniques well.. but it didn't go too well...
I had trouble breaking almost all of the boards (although i can blame my holder on one of those, he NEVER holds right), and I ended up slicing open the top of my foot. It HURTS!!! But, I know what I need to fix for next time, so I can work on that...

First Degree!

So, on February 7th I got my First Degree Black Belt, and it was both exhausting and utterly thrilling! I got to the Main School in Jacksonville at 8:30, stretched in the 40 degree room (WHY does Grandmaster Pak not believe in heat and air conditioning?), and started at 9. For the next few hours we did all 13 forms, sparred (everything from 1 on 1 to 6 on 1), and ate a tradional Korean meal (YUMMMM!). I also learned that Ginseng tea and I do NOT get along... It makes me really hyper! At 5 that night, our families came and watched us recieve our belts in this really LONG ceremony. I left and went out to eat with my friend Jordan at around 9. It was sooo exhausting, but sooo incredibly worth it!
